Coal is too valuable to burn™
We are collaborating with top research institutions, universities, and manufacturing partners to develop new uses for the carbon in coal, harnessing it as a feedstock for advanced products and materials.
At our iCAM center, we provide custom manufacturing services focused on coal to products, including advanced materials technologies such as graphene, carbon nano-tubes, carbon foam, and carbon dioxide capture systems.

Our Mission
The future of the coal industry is as a supplier of non-combustion carbon feedstock for advanced carbon products and materials.
By using coal for products instead of burning it, we will create a vastly higher economic value for the resource, and importantly a lower environmental footprint. This will improve our national and local economies, our communities, and the planet.

Facilities & Partnerships
The carbon in coal has the potential to displace petroleum in the manufacture of many products — such as graphene, graphite, and many building and infrastructure products — making them cheaper, stronger, and lighter.
In response, we’ve created the first vertically integrated carbon research, manufacturing, and supply facility in Wyoming named iCAM — with a satellite facility in West Virginia — and partner with national laboratories, universities, and manufacturers to develop new uses for one of America’s most abundant natural resources.
